Arch Support

Arch support is essential to natural foot function because our feet are not designed for hard surfaces.

Also, most footwear lacks adequate support which means our feet have a tendency to flatten excessively during gait.

The term for this flattening of the foot is overpronation.

Pronation and Underpronation

Whilst pronation is a normal part of the gait cycle and helps to provide shock absorption at the foot, overpronation transfers this shock to the muscles, tendons and ligaments of the foot, ankle and knee.

This can lead to a wide range of painful conditions of the lower limb, such as Plantar Fasciitis, Fallen Arches, Bunions and knee pain.
